I thought it had to be dodged since the values around the eyes are lighter than the brick wall... I agree with you - those eyes overpower most everything else in the photo!

The bricks was very light and therefore there was no use to dudge them. I can see your point about the mouth. For me the most important was the big eyes staring....

Dear Jeanette,

it way my guess that the black borders were fragments of an intended frame.

thanks for clarifying.
take care,
thilo

The black lines? I made a black border to the image when i made it in the darkroom. Then when i digitalized it i did?nt reproduce it proberly.
My intention was to have the black frame around it all.

You must have dodged the brick wall then? Would be interesting to see this with the mouth even more de-emphasized.

well composed portrait overlay.
upside down the gaze seems even more intensive.

Hi Jeanette,

the projection on the bricks is a great idea, the only irritating point for me is the upside down, the look is so intensive, even more than 'normal'...hard to describe my feelings.

Cheers,
Verena

This one was really interesting. Love the idea here.. the angle and the composition. Great texture on that wall and i love the tones. The portrait is very nice. She has a expression of wondering.. like she has no idea whats happening.. like shes having a strange dream. Great work.. one of my favorites from you my friend! 7+

Cheers!

nice to notice the effectiveness of this portrait in reverse; I like also the "walled" feel you give to it demonstrating your high creativity standard; well seen
