About Yet another shot while climbing.
I had to PS the rocks a little bit lighter, due to the contrast that is always very high at high altitudes, or is it the snow?

Jo,

The range of your CCD will be approx 5 stops. So if you spot-meter the bright area's of the snow and the dark rocks and the difference is bigger then 5 you will lose detail in one of them.

PS fortunately is strong in lighting up dark areas. Bright area's with no detail can never been fixed with PS. The compromise of the camera light meter was the good one.

Nice composition anyway!
