About
Trying out a new lens in difficult lighting conditions. The DOF is very shallow, but the image of this little guy working upside down on the tiny Mexican heather blossom was hard to resist.
Rafi-- Allow me to return the "Friend" compliment.
I must say that I am always surprised to get a decent shot of an insect. I've only recently sought them out, and it is very difficult to get a good one.
I've just added you to my friends' list, George. I'm always amazed by the way photos like your "Without a Net" can be made. Whenever I approach an insect, it almost invariably flies away before I can take its photo. You captured your "little guy" as you call it excellently and the shallow dof only adds to make it stand out. The photo is so well focused that the hairs on the insect's back are clearly visible. Thank you for your comprehensive comment on my "Urginea maritima in bloom". Regards, Rafi
