About Just got back from taking communion to a lovely group of elderly people in a nursing home! Makes me so thankful that I'm still young and fit enough to get out there and take pictures of places like this!!!

How about this for cottage!! Who needs a swimming pool when (at high tide) the river comes right up to your front wall! This beautiful home is at Dittisham, on the River Dart, and the shot was taken in the early morning sunlight. I've done very little to it except adjust the levels and frame it.

Thanks for dropping by ~ it's always a pleasure to have your company!!

Best regards, Chris

I don't think I'd like the river SO close to my doorstep. One thinks of spring tides and heavy rains... but it certainly is picturesque. As you might guess, my own reaction would have been to whip out the TX-1 and take this as a panorama, with river, cottages and trees nearer to golden thirds...

A beautiful place to live. When are you moving in.?? The white house adds a nice bit of contrast to the thatched roof home. Nice work as usual. Don.

Lovely tranquil setting Chris, yes I could certainly see myself living there and fishing 25 hours of the day (well relaxing at the very least lol).
Super photo, one of these days I will be awake at this time of the morning - all this 12 hour shiftwork I'm either leaving home to go to work or vice versa !!
Beautiful work Chris.

Best wishes,
Steve

Actually, I took this on our recent hoiday, Den. I'd get up around 6am, head off somewhere picturesque, take around 100 shots, drive back to our chalet, cook a nice fried breakfast, then wake Carole up! Brilliant start to the day!!
Thanks for the comment!
Best regards, Chris

I think tatched cottages follow you around, vying for who's to be photographed next. Am I right?
Great shot Chris, ooozing charm. Be no good for me though as I'm too bleary eyed when I leave for work in the morning, I'd end up in the drink.
Den
