Hi Kat~,

Thanks for your wonderful input. That is why I post my photo's on this site. To get constructive criticism and to hear other peoples perspectives is a valuable tool in the learning process. You are correct in that I was trying to pervade a feeling of dreaminess (a slight nightmarish dream to be precise). However your fix up is super looking in itself. Different views and perspectives is what makes photography so wonderful.

Thanks for your wonderful comments on my other photo's.

oops..on the other hand, it occurs to me that maybe you liked the dreary, rainy day look, if so, please accept my apologies for imposing my own interpretation..kat~

Hi, James..i was attracted to this thumbnail because i am such a sucker for nature shots and this one looked interesting and it is. It's a wonderful composition with excellent control of depth of field. i love the lush tender greenery and especially and most of all those little white flowers on the left that are so ethereal. The water droplets here and there give such a fresh feeling.

I am a bit suprised that you conscientiously framed this image with any number of little edges but failed to lift the magic of your shot out of the digital murk by heightening contrast. i hope you don't mind that i copied this and fooled with curves and levels to really show off your good work. Your exposure was excellent so there was lots of information to play with. Clicking on auto levels didn't do it so i toggled back and forth between levels and curves to bring up the light. At one point i selected and feathered the right side in order to balance the left side and to keep from losing the soft whiteness of your flowers. i hope you don't mind. kat~
