Whoa! I never thought that girraffe was this tall and the neck is so tiny... Btw, wonderful zoom you've made. The reproduction is so sharp!

Sony Kusumo   {K:7190} 9/9/2004
Hmm Girrafe! How could you make him (I thought it's a male since it has some beards, LOL, just kidding) pose for you? The expression is so ... hmm, something...!

'Up periscope' is the PERFECT NAME!!
Fantastic picture of this ostrich! I have always wanted to get a photograph of the giraffe/neck and the ostrich/neck. But I have yet to photograph the bird!! I adore both of these animals' faces! (and necks, lol))!!

Hi Lori! Haha I love it! He (she?) looks so cute and funny! Also excellent photo quality and details! I also think your original is super, because of the funny pose (perhaps over exposed on bottom part, it's hard to see when it's so small) Anyway, I think it's a lovely capture of this beautiful mysterious looking animal!

LOL...no Armando, the giraffe was pretty far away, 'sitting' on the ground, then I cropped out just the neck and head. But for some reason, I can't get UF to upload the original. I reset the size to 'teeny' but it still won't upload!
How frustrating! LOL
Lori :)

Wow Lori, this guy has some "neck" posing for you like this :-)
You have captured a great perspective and the level of detail is wonderful.
Superb composition and I will look forward to seeing the original to observe the differences.

Hi Lori, Interesting background, but it fits the subject very well. Also, the exclamation mark like figure of the Giraffe is verywell composed. Not too difficult, but it needs to be exactly right, otherwise such a shot becomes rather boring. The slight angle, and the tilt in its head are very photogenic. Nice one!

Cheers,

Hugo

Dear Lori, great shot! I like how the Giraffe is not right EXACTLY down the middle. The way you did the composition is much more interesting. Good work, Mark PS. Have 6 new shots on my page. would appreciate if you can stop by when you have a moment. Thanks

I like the way you've framed this guy to accentuate his proportions. The lighting is great, too, giving some rim lighting all around the head and neck.

Lori great capture, I have just been working on some giraffe pics from our visit to a safari park, mine are so different, with very light backgrounds, isn't amazing how much variety/difference you can have in one subject
Lovely rich colouring suits background very well

What was he saying to you? Excellent crop - just teasing :-))
OK - let's get serious .... excellent capture of the pattern - nothing blown, just perfect. The background compliments the giraffe beautifully. Overall, a great capture of the very gentle expression, beautiful eyes and that oh-so-cute little goatee beard.
Does this mean that you have been to the zoo and that I can look forward to an animal series from you? :-)

What a high-quality, high-contrast shot, Lori!
Did you consider cropping this horizontally instead of vertically?

(just kidding).
