oh, gosh, I hate being the first to state something negative. Oh well...
Gerhard, the colors and lighting on this are really beautiful, but I find the background to be a bit distracting. I take it there was no way to get an angle without so many brights and darks?
Steve Kaufman once told me that he took the black tee shirt off his back once to block out a busy background behind some flowers he was shooting. I took his advice (but used my camera bag) and managed to isolate an violet off a woodland path with decent results.
However, I've looked at your portfolio, so I'm certain I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
Again, really nice color and lighting.
