Hello andreas.. my best congrats for this perfect an emotional one portrait.. of a person in city, dipped in the own toughts, but I believe (IMHO) that the spot white.. in close-up is too much "large"! he disturbs to the look and the feeling that this photo is. you have used in perfect way the DOF, but that newspaper in close-up is too much near and becomes "Big".. the subject becomes the newspaper and the chair in BG! I would have increased to the BG "out of focus" (DOF increase opening the diaphragm) and raised little little the frame..
it is also true that you have already used f. 2,8... the newspaper then you were too much near!
I love this type of photo and I am only my ideas!

very very effective - for some reason even when looking at thumbnails there is some "hook" from Hasselblad in particular, but medium format camera/lenses in general, that grab my eye.
