the grainy finish was my intention ....I thought it made it look like an old painting..... that was my objective was to make it look like a painting.

There's something wrong in this photo. The highlight areas have strange colors in them. I don't know if this was your intention (as your "Land Ho !!!" image exhibits the same artifacts) but the effect made the photo look like it was corrupted or degraded by a bad scanning IMHO.

Indeed. Lucky him. We are having strom right now in Dublin. Winds are howling and the rain is lashing. The mets have given us flash flood warnings !.

Very nice capture. Pity the quality is so poor. I wonder why.
