Mica, This is such a SUPER image! I've just run across your work for the first time today. I really like a lot of your images. On this image . . . I really love the angles, tones, shadows (especially of the people) and how they cut across the image. And what's a NYC residential image w/o fire escapes and some graffiti? :) Great image! Regards, Richard

giuliano, i always film digital in color, than photoshop it to b+w. if it's something quick, i use IrfanView. digital prints can look as good as negatives now, and if you use photoshop as a true darkroom, you can really fly. to me a dramatic foto looks best in b+w; in color it looks a bit too technicolored.

I can almost taste the atmosphere of the street in this image. You can here the sirens and beeping of horns and the kids playing in the street, the whole essence. I simply love the street and its potential for photographs....just like this. A favorite for me.

Hello Mica, my thanks for your last comment to me and my complimet to this picture. I like B&W (as you can recognize from my portfolio) and expecially when this two colour can draw geometries or can give a special "mood" to the image.
Your photo fully match my expectations from a B&W picture.
How is your impression on B&W with your new digital camera?
Bye
Giuliano Guarnieri
