About Father & son sat across from me on the way home.

Wish I had a wider lens, but I'm still very happy with the result.

Those, with that trendy "artfacts" must br legitimate subjects of Her Majesty, the "Lost Queen and Her Funny Family". Funny, history turn around, time after time, in spiral, but at diferent levels. The Royal Family is , now ,like the Roman mythology: common people , with common sins.

I?m not saying much words about your picture because ,to me, important is the idea, the concept, the social critic.Still and ever a neo-realist !

Dear Angelo,

the white part on the right doesn't show any detail at least at my monitor. was just a guess with neatimage. I tried neatimage some days ago, and while it produced good results in most of the picture, there were some where details got lost, especially in overbright parts.

take care and thanks for the lenghty explanation.

Thilo

Thanks, Thilo.

I've always wanted to do pictures in little "series". I've finally managed to start treating themes in such a way, a sign of development. And thanks to UseFilm, for sure!

I have no obsession with feet (Honest!) but I realised that in the Underground, in order for people to avoid eye-contact / staring at each other, they hide behind books, newspapers, mobile games --- and even cameras! :)

Or they look up at the adverts or down at the ground. I started noticing a lot of interesting subjects, patterns, forms and contrasts between the different footwear etc. So here come the results.

Maybe the hands holding on to the bars are next.

I also have some candids I have taken with my phone camera that may just make it as a montage. Still just an idea.

As for the overexposure on the leg at the right, I don't see it. I see a vew variations in tone where there are folds and creases etc. It has the same levels as the guy's right leg (the one in the middle) at the top.

This is the first time I use NeatImage on a photo I put in UF. It was due to the excessive noise that was apparent in the gray area under the seats. Overall I am very happy with the effect. I did compare it with the untreated image and could see no loss of detail.

Mind you, when I applied it I had already done the curves (I like more punchy contrast) so maybe there was some detail already gone. But this has the look and feel that I like in my photos.

Thanks again!
Angelo.

hey angelo,

hehe, you now seem to follow some foot obsession ;-) wonder what's coming next.

anyway, great eye, as always. good colors, composing is great, like the different "width" of the pairs. small pity: the trouser on the right is kind of overexposed, no details here. neat image? sometimes you lose some details when using this image. please check the original picture.

good capture.

take care,

Thilo

Great. Excellent crop. I read a rather good obituary of Henri Cartier-Bresson in the International Herald Tribune this morning, in which it was stated that he was completely uninterested in developing his film and making his own prints, and that he had only one rule: his pictures were never to be cropped. How many photographers can have that rule? Only one, I guess. Congrats on another excellent tube photo. Rgds, Svend

Love the detail -- small details images tell so much if the right shooter catches them -- K

I see that you are still motivated by the shoe fashion... Very well captured and composed, love the colors... Very nice story... I you told it with some simple shoes...:)

Cheers,

Maria
