We have twins that age--both boys. They (or I, or both of us) are going through a difficult stage right now. It's nice to see you've kept a good relationship going through the teenage years. Good photo, too!

Beautiful soft thoughtful capture of your son Brad. A real cutie just like his Dad.

Hi Brad,

Wonderful portrait of your young man! You've positioned his head so that there is a nice curved flow follwing the pattern of his hair and continuing down his left shoulder.

Having him wear the "Independent" t-shirt is a great idea - his very thoughtful, almost cautious expression and the bold proclamation on his shirt stand in contrast to each other. And it's very symbolic of sons at this age (I have our 18-year-old Ben, leaving for dorm life at summer's end.)

You have really captured the wonderful, contradictory essence of the American male child in his late teens. Already becoming a man but still a boy.

Best regards,
SteveR

Independent...thats,what they want to be with seventeen!I know, what I?m talking about,as I have two sons, though elder, this age beyond them...and I do love them ,and can be proud of them..but unfortunately they live in Spain, and California.
Be happy,so long you will have him near you...
