This is a great portrait, Mary. My sense of this mood was one of relaxation, and morning leisure, given the abundance of very soft light filling the room.
I can see how the arm draped across the empty bed space conveys a sense of absence.

Thanks all for your input. What is intersting is to see the subjectivity cooments of the photo being a depressed photo or a relaxing photo. My intention was along the lines of an idea of "missing you".... waking up in the early morning without that some special someone next to you, so a sense of sadness. I actually made a mock card out of this photo with the saying
"In the stillness of morning, quiet and true" "In the stillness of morning, I am missing you"

Interesting, it definitely captures a depressed mood. I always love in movies when they show these depressed people in the moning with light poring into the room, it's one thing to be sad at night, but when it's in a bright room it creates such irony. And Irony is always good for photos. Tim
