Stunning image. You wouldn't have by chance taken a landscape format version of this image would you? I can't help but think since the rock texture and formation has such great lines a wider perspective might amplify the impact of this image all the more. The soft colors in the foreground really make for an eye catching image. Great job.
PS I just emailed you through your web site. Very nice site!

Another gorgeous, dreamy picture, worthy to join all the wonderful landscapes at Timecatcher.com. I was inspired to try a wide-angle landscape last weekend, trying to learn by imitation (Lake Motosuko). I almost said you'd inspired the attempt, but thought better of it. Thanks for the inspiration, anyway!

Thank you all for your comments.
Barry to answer your question yes this is just like a circular polarizer but the polarized light changes from blue to gold as you turn it. This shot was taken between the blue and the gold so you have no apparent color domination between the two.
Neil I will look at my notes first thing and get back to you on that. If I am not mistaken it is anywhere from 20-30 sec exposure time

Lovely shot, Pat. I've read much about the Gold'n'blue polariser but hadn't seen any results up till now. I assume it's the polariser that's produced the combination of colours in the sky? Do the colurs change as you turn the polariser?

Hi Patrick, great work. But then i'v got to expect nothing more than the best from you :) What sort of time exposure was it? I see the f22 but are we talking like over a minute or more in the thirty seconds range. I guess as you were in aperture mode then it will be thirty seconds! Look forwrd to more of your work. Best wishes Neil

Thank you Christian, Jake, John and Lukasz. To answer your question Jake. Meter was taken on the overall scene thru the camera on tripod with filters on, on aperture priority mode.
Thanks again for your great comments Pat
