Had real trouble getting colour balance right on this one. Any suggestions? This type of shot (with very bright sun and silhouetted trees) seems very difficult.
Good composition, Matthew and I love the colours. Have just read your bio and like you I am also learning. Normally for compositions like this I take at least two shots - one focusing on the sky and one on the trees, then I also use the exposure compensation on the camera (something I'm just getting into!). Thanks for your comments on my pictures. Justine
Beautiful Beautiful image, you are right about the color in the sky, you could maybe use the clone tool in photoshop and move some more yellow and pink up into the white. Also I love how you have the silhoueteted leaves above, it really frames the shot. I like this one a lot. Tim
One way to do this (with a tripod) would be to take one shot exposed for shadows and a second shot exposed for the sky, and then combine the two images in Photoshop.
