The series continues... The summer of 2003 was very hot and dry in Southern Europe, see for example (http://www.usefilm.com/image/211487.html) and there were a lot of forest fires. During our stay in the Ardèche we visited such a fire site (it was close to our hotel, the guests that were staying at that time had to leave!) The lansdscape still looks very desolate, althought there are also signs of new life, already... Technical details: measured light on grey card, polarization filter, sharpening in PSE, removed nois with Neat Image.
