The rather subdued greens in shadowed areas are something of a Nikon trademark, so my Japanese photo mags tell me. They certainly serve to focus attention on the sharply detailed, beautifully rendered and perfectly posed deer. Although you don't take many animal photos, I recognized your work at once from the inimitable quality of the pun in the title. This is a lovely photo, and I am sure that Carole will appreciate what your D70 means to you now she has a camera of her own. I think I may have a harder time convincing my better half that I need a new scanner for my Voyageur panoramas! [sigh] Still, I've a birthday coming up shortly... we shall see.

FABULOUS!!! The frame is 100% for this image - it does not distract from the fine detail.
I hope there are more coming in this series?

Wow Chris, the clarity and detail in your images never fails to amaze me!! This is no exception, absolutely gorgeous.Deer are such beautiful creatures and they have posed perfectly for you. Thankyou for your kind comment on my POTD,I was VERY excited as it was my first time on the front page in the year I have been a member,I felt like doing cart wheels around the room but at 70 yrs of age with an extemely sore back I had to curb my impulses!!exciting though. Pleased to hear Carol is home, dont give up the housework now! Regards Micky.

Hello Chris, I am happy for the two of you that you are together again. Now back to the normal life of a housewife(man).... I am smiling. But, as I can see, you are not too busy to add this beautiful picture. It looks like a fairytail. GREAT work, my compliments! greetings, Diana.

Lovely photo Chris and I'm pleased to hear that Carole is keeping you busy :-) I'm sure the deer on the right is called Homer Simpson - if you had listened carefully to his call I'm sure he says "doe" ;-)
