Nice contrast from B&W and color. In this case the central object will be emphasized. Congratulations.

Eric...As a portrait shooter of musicians myself, I CAN see what you were going for, in this wide-angle portrait. IMHO you have successfully captured this guitarist well... And I get a sense of urban funky-ness in the setting. Now the dress treatment is incredible! It stands alone simply in B&W... and is outstanding with the red coloration! Now, this sets up a juxtaposition with the setting and combined it is an overall winner! Portraits don't always have to be tight...as proof in this image. Regards, Rik

Needs more depth, I like the red overlay. good use of photoshop.. I think it would have looked better as more of a direct portrait. I dont have any portraits on here as yet. But I think my style is direct, gets to the persons charecter.. Maybe if you have more shots of this shoot, I would like to see them. Still deserves a high mark. To me portraits give an insight into the charecter and what they are like, at this angle and the surroundings i cant come to much a conclusion. Still great photo.
