Thank you, Willem, for your comment on my "Mother's love". The mother is a Chinese friend of Eduard. (this is the way he spells his name as he was born in France). I don't know if I ever told you that Eduard recovered almost at the last moment from leukemia when a Bone marrow donor was found in Milano, Italy. This happened while he was doing his post doc. in Paris. The Chinese woman's husband, a scientist, just like Eduard and a friend of his of many years, also contracted leukemia while working in Jerusalem, but whereas Eduard recovered and is well on his way to becoming a professor of microbiology, his Chinese friend succumbed to a fungus infection after the bonemarrow transfusion had already been successfully performed.
A sad story.
