I agree with what you say, this is also my opinion, before I argued about, and motivated by the fact that not many photographers like to have their photos changed as there is a reason for some things that are shown in this order in a picture, and this is the choice of the creator. To chose it can have fun but either with photoshop or not is a "borrowed" thing. Hmmm I like this discussion, a true debate! Kiss!

Mary, I love your conviction to staying true to your 'realist' philosophy. I would personally submit that the beautiful message in these pictures comes across with or without photoshop, and that using PS is just another tool for conveying such messages. We as an audience don't need to know how you did it, just that you did it. Either way, I admire the strength of your opinion and your work reflects a certain strength to it. Keep up the good work.

daniel I am sorry that I say this this but Kostas did some photoshop while these pictures are not photoshop no matter what he thinks about love, realism in realistic shots is even more important for me than his imagination, I understand his sense of humor and I laughed but I do not accept this as something that can have followers... the couple stayed there after the train left as they wanted to be together, I stayed too feeling embarrashed this is more importand than someones imazination that came from photoshop. ok?

mary, this is a wonderful 2-part, 2-picture story. I think Kostas is right though, his order and choices are even more effective for your work. well done.

You know-this shot is just perfect. The fact that the train is not in the station really adds to the "I can't leave you" feelings. With noone else in the shot surrounding them resembles the feelings of intimacy in the shot-a bond only they share together. Well done and thought out.

Very nice work Mary, I like the idea of a "photo story". Kind of like a comic strip. Maybe if you did one longer than 2 frames you could keep us in suspense for a while. ;)

Got it now - sorry for being slow on the uptake. Love Kostas comment :-) I like the fact that the Blue Man poster links the two pictures as well.

I can't believe it!!! My DD (Default Vision) did not recognize the photoart alteration...Sorry sorry... now everything is clear!! Thanx for getting into all this trouble! I am too FFA traditional sometimes (Film Fetish Addiction) but still post production is a nice thing! Have a quiet departure and never eat on an empty stomach!

this is true Fabio, but not just "a kiss" ... I always admired B&W photos with kisses... I wish there were a B&W kiss of mine followed by the surroundings...but who will shoot the picture spontaneously?? I want to do both things at the same time! ts Ts ... the problems with street photography...

i'm not sure whether my altered versions have made my point clear... the 'can't leave' phase wants them close but not kissing (train there) whereas the 'if l.i.w.y.' moment finds them kissing (train gone) anyway,i'm leaving now...i feel hungry and i have a train to catch :-P bye Mary :-)

Oh and something else, i got the point but if you observe the images carefully the titles you suggest are the titles I have in this very order!!! (But I got what you mean, so I answered accordingly!)

Hi Mary, very romantic and classic shot. The high contrast adds alot to the already very strong atmosphere. Great capture.
Cheers,

hmm..yes why not?
The couple was together with all people and then missed the train.. This is the right chronological order.... I missed it too... my friend was angry and I felt that at least I had half of the 2 things I wanted to experience that day... to miss a train... (I am lying about the friend, he was not angry, he was hungry and eager to see Wannsee)
Observing comments Mr "should I stray or should I Goo". Danke!! You have a point...
Scratching my 2 heads I don't know what to do now...
Gods it started again!! I go though a novel phase...
"And then she stood up and removed her birthday ever after as she could not forgive herself for the terrible thing she had done to the couple... to watch their intense non-departure moment and not let them miss the train properly...The only thing that rested her heart at ease was that the couple had not even seen her, they had more important things to do.."

i really like the story,Mary, but after watching the photos for a while i decided that the effect would be stronger if this was the 'I can't leave' part:
