I was looking through your portfolio Stephen and this image jumped out at me. It is not as colourful as some of your other works and nor is it as striking. But it has emotion. I always look for the emotion in an image, as that is what the viewer will feel when they look at an image. And this image has it, definitely. You could almost believe they are real by the beautifully carved features and the drama on her face. The child lying in the womans lap with a protective hand across the child's shoulder is so moving. The way you have angled the image up at the woman, giving her a sense of power and yet desperation. Awesome work.

I came into your portfolio to thankyou for your flattering comments on my images but couldn't get passed this image.

Well done.

Well done, Stephen. I don't find it underexposed. Anymore and there would be blown out areas on the statue. I like this one very much.

Great contrast and tones. You have some lovely cemetart shots in your portfolio. I always try to capture a mood also, not just a picture. Sometimes just a different time of day will do it, the shadows just right. Sometimes it takes a lot more. lol Thanks for stopping to comment on mine.

Nice contrasts but a little underexposed IMHO. The workmanship in this sculpture is wonderful. I would have gone also with maybe a little more depth of field. Still, like it.
