My first attempt ever at modifying a picture, not very exciting as it is merely switching a color shot to black and white. In color the picture seemed much too cheerful and I thought this should be a fairly sombre picture considering the subject matter.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but the story I heard behind this wall, was that each brick represented an individual (the brick bearing the person?s name) who had perished in the war. This picture represents only a small fraction of the wall, which stretches the length of a fairly long block.
Your choice of black and white is the right one I believe...I am very partial to color, but there are times when BW encaptures the mood much better. I would love to see some other angles of this..nice capture...very sad...Gloria
