I assume this is just a black and white version of your previous image entitled ?Tackled? unfortunately I think you lost some of the power of the image when you took away the color. I felt the contrasting colors of the jerseys really helped to differentiate the separate opponents. I also feel you eliminated too much of the grittiness of the image when you lost the color of the mud and dirt on the players and the ball. And although I can?t explain it, this image seems to have somehow lost the speed and movement of the color version. A nice shot none the less.

Very well captured action, Danny!
You can sense the competition, the will. There's lots of tension in the shot, with the tackler coming out of the right-hand side an two players at the back looking on to the action, inviting the viewer's eyes to look at it too.
In fact, there are several strong diagona lines.
Where did tou capture this action, and do you have any tips regarding access (with a camera!) to this type of event?

Great! I like how you have three levels of focus/bokeh, splitting the main characters from those just behind and then off in the distance.
