O fundo preto é conseqüência da grande diferença existente entre a luz refletida pelo objeto da foto e aquela refletida pelos elementos do fundo. Se a fotometria fosse feita pelo fundo, como efeito inverso as folhas e gotícula apareceriam superexpostas.
