Earlier today I commented on a like sea coast... in southen Italy... and would be remiss not to comment upon the lovers... but then having read the commentary about 'shaky hands'... clearly it would be this viewers shakiness that would spoil everything... if he stood behind her to appreciate how she does it! delicious... and so welcoming!

John dearest,as far as lenses go,I must tell you that after I tried and purchased the 24/120 mm Nikon VR type,I leave at home and forgot all about the other lenses I have, unless I have to do a specific work. I'm not talking about the focal, which is medium zoom, but about the excellent performances of the VR ( Vibrations reduction ) technology which allows me to shoot at the incredible time of 1/10 sec. handheld with my very shaky hands. To my surprise it's not even expensive ( compared to other Nikon lenses - less than 600 $ in the States - 780 Euros here ). As the matter of fact I was looking for a longer zoom of the same type. The point is that with VR lenses you can shoot even at dusk or subjects in the shadow without the tripod! For an everyday use I have a Tamron 28/300 mm,a cheapo one with a macro option which is great ( maybe needs only a little more sharpening ) and for the wide focal I have a very unusual but stunning lens,a Voigtlander 19/35 mm Nikon mount. I also have a Sigma 180 mm Apo Macro rapport 1:1,but if you want to do real macros and not close-ups the tripod is required. If you're interested I'll tell you more in an email. Write to me! Many hugs & kisses and thank you for the comment!!! Love, Antonella

I love the textures in the rocks. We have an outcrop of the same rocks here on the Otago Harbour. The warm light enhances the reds and yellows. My personal preference would be for slightly less USM. Regards John

Antonella, this is imopressive. Amazing solid rock and water texture. The pastel sky provides a most beautiful contrast to the strength of thoe elements. The ship in the distance is a great focal point. A supreme capture for sure.

What a TACTILE shot! I can almost FEEL what those rocks would be like under my fingers. They are captured with such clarity. The quality of light is unusual, too, and adds to the impression.

Hi Antonella, nice Seascape/Landscape! I wasn't sure which to call it because it has such unusual colours due to the brown cliffs :) Thanks also for your comment this morning. You are too kind! Have a nice weekend. Best wishes Neil
