About Another photo of the chrome-and-neon wonder, the Double-T diner in Ellicott City, Maryland. This was during a mild rain, and the sky was totally bald. I thought sandwiching with some handy clouds (darkened in PS) would look nicer.

So does he have his own digital camera yet?

Yes, here he is - the stinker - Ben - just turned 18 May 30th.

Actually, he got into Photoshop before me and taught me a thing or two. Now with some new knowledge I got from Lou Dina, I've returned the favor.

Ben, my baby boy!

I'm assuming the 18 yr old is your son? FUNNY!

Fill flash!! Why didn't I think of that? I've never been much of a flash user, and I still don't remember enough to use the built-in little flash on my Digital Rebel for fill. Thanks for the suggestion, John - I can easily go back and re-take this one with fill flash.

BTW, I had this photo on my laptop as a Windows background, then came back a few hours later and found *this* photo (attached) on my laptop! Never trust an 18-year-old with Photoshop! I guess Ben is trying to tell me something about his views on my composite photos? :-)

Best regards,
SteveR

I like the neon lighting a lot but am still feeling the exposure is just a bit dark. Look at the top right, not much detail.. Could you have used some fill flash maybe? Dunno...

Where's the spaceship? Everybody knows that there cannot be a chrome diner without a spaceship. ...or was that just ME that knew that? Very cool photo. Great angles and awesome neon. ...Brad
