Ted --

Thanks for sharing this -- on the West Coast (California) it wasn't visible at all, and I was sorry to have missed it.

Thanks for your comments on my images--they are much appreciated.

Regards,
Anne

Del I used spectacles that are specially made to look at the eclips some time ago. Now I used it to protect my camera. I also made a hole in a piece of paper (those yellow sticky things) to cover the rest of my lens. The edge of the table in the garden served as a tripod. That's all.

Ted,

The overexposure makes Venus look smaller than it should.

Hey, you did a really neat job capturing the Venus shot. I never tired to look. What special equipment did you use to film it?

hello Ted..
a magic moment my friend..
this one is the astronomic event of taday.. and,.. thank to the digital camera now the world have "looked" your shot.
a perfect exposure for this photo!
I love the astronomy and the deep sky.. today.. this morning at 7,30 is started the venus transit in the face of sun, for .. for six hours I have held the nose in on... I have made of the photos but with the film and before tomorrow I do not have the press! a perfect reproduction of the magical and magnific event of the universe of which we make part!
have a strange atmosphere... this has a strange atmosphere that I have tasted in seeing to pass to venus in front of the great tiny sun... minute after minute... hour after hour.. to appear and to disappear!

cheers

Cool!! Netherlands... I guess it's 1 hour difference between us (If you have same time as England) So if this was 9:45 swedish time it makes sense that it was about half way. I think it started 7:15 here and would go on 6 hours. It was raining though, so there was nothing to see at first. During lunchtime sun was shining and I tried to see but couldn't see anything. I took some quick photos, but they turned out just crap and nothing can be seen... haha. Well, still interesting!
