I have a soft spot for spiral staircase shots. I like their quirky perspective. This one looks like it was in very difficult circumstances, with the internal lights and skylight blowing out, and the dark areas of the underside of the stairs have almost no detail.
Almost impossible to do anything about, because of the range of different lights. Maybe a different, less contrasty film?
I don't see that many shadows, to be honest.
If it is easy to get back to the same place, perhaps you can try experimenting.
I agree with Claude H. - I think there is something in the line formed by those internal artificial lights that you can explore.

Interesting light. I just like the strong contrast. I think it would look better with a slight rotation. Regards, Claude

clever image, multi-dimensional!! I do not think you should crop the light on the top, it adds to the atmosphere nice , very nice!!

Wonderful find Tolis. So often I look at a staircase and enjoy the repition/spiralling. Expect it in fact. This photo presents none but clims so high! It is not a simple path, this stairway to the light.
