This is an old one friend. It was taken when digital was not showing on my radar and over developed TriX was may favorite medium. It was taken 5-10 minute walk from our house and these people were doing this to put food on the table that same day. I understand that they still do it but mostly for old timers pass the time and a good excuse to have a drink or two and then they discovered that it was attracting tourists that would bring business to local restaurants and coffee shops (non existing) at the time when the photo was taken. As you know life is much easier for these for these people now but I find it ironic that they are doing The Same Thing at a Different Time for a Different Reason. Progress (this particular case) had a weird way of going around in a full circle. I wonder if I could get there within a 10 minute walk without breaking any law. (NO TRESPASSING) signs.

Es una foto preciosa, creo que tiene todas las cosas que me gustan de la fotografía. El alto contraste en blanco y negro sin caer en el claro oscuro total. El grano. Y una composición en diagonal perfecta.
