About As we continue our walk, (having been through the grotto, with its statues of a nymph and Neptune), we come to the Gothic Cottage ~ a tiny dwelling that once housed a woodman and his family!! Unfortunately, the cottage has recently had to be closed to visitors as it's in need of some structural repairs, but it was a good time to photograph it with this wonderful azalea/rhododendron (?) standing next to it!!

Chris, I expect to see a fairytale princess to step out the cottage at any moment. Excellent image - your skills have enhanced the architectural value of this quaint building. The forest's colours are excellent - overall very pleasing to the eye.
Well done ... yet again :-)

Thank you so much for that great compliment, Gustav!
That is what I'm trying so hard to become ~ a kind of 'photographic artist'. I love to see good photo's of all kinds, (and, from time to time, will take all kinds myself!). But my main interest is in trying to produce photographic 'artworks', so you really couldn't have said anything more encouraging!! Thank you.
Kind regards, Chris

For your interest, here's how it came out of the camera ~ note the leaning wall to the left. I corrected this in PS; got rid of the 'drain' in the right foreground; got rid of the green colour cast; adjusted the levels and boosted the saturation.
Thanks for looking ~ and reading!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

This just isn't FAIR!!! All these gorgeous places you have there to photograph!

A really neat scene this is. Chris, the composition is very nice, and that bush and flowers almost 'dwarf' the cottage!

Hmmm, competition for Kinkade!!

Very nice work, once again!
Lori ;)

ps...almost forgot, the bright/light green foilage on the upper left really makes this photograph even more alive. GREAT!!
