I really like this photo.. love the reflection of the light on the rails and how the rails disappear into the misty landscape. Too bad the wires cross over the middle.. but great capture

Aha! THOUGHT so! I knew that stuff at the end of the line was the best part of the whole picture, and you'll find that narrowing it down from the sides really focuses on that area. I was going to do it myself but I'm desperately busy these days. PS "This is it" is a great creed for enjoying every moment of this wonderful world we live in but "This isn't all" is even better. IMHO.

yep the colour is how it was...I only cropped it in PS..I'll send up another of the same evening a little later only a beach view. I have to cross these lines toget to the beach. I will try your suggestion because the best part of the pic for me is right at the end of the line...ta rog

Wow! What a very moody shot, and a great atmosphere, Roger! Very well composed and exposed (WOW!. Excellent backlighting. I agree with roger about cloning out the powerlines, as they do not quite fit with the atmosphere. A great shot.... Very impressive!

Cheers,

Hugo

Sembra la strada della vita che io preferisco vedere in salita ma così come l'hai messa ti dice da dove parte ma non dove arriva. Beautifull. Cecilia

Roger Williams Roger Williams   {K:86139} 5/7/2004
Just a suggestion, Roger, but try masking off the left and right hand sides to give one of those "vertical panorama" crops... You'd have to clone out that power line or whatever it is, but given that, the effect is quite different but equally beguiling. Very nice shot. People are saying it's sepia toned, but isn't this more or less how it was in colour?
