Nice light, textures and coontrast betwen the sea and beach.
Looks like a wedging wave, was the surf big?

Thanks for your comments Dirck. The shot is actually in colour but I love B&W tones which is what drew me to taking this shot. I was lucky because it had just snowed so the air was perfectly clear and the sky cloudless - hence the beautiful sharpness of the picture.

wow, the patterns and the textures really give this a real abstract feel. If you did not describe what it was I think I would still be here trying to figure it all out. It really has every tone included in the one frame. From black to bright white. A great photo and vision by you.

Beautiful mosaic of patterns, textures, shades and shapes! Great choice of black and white, too - it keeps the attention focused on the above aspects nicely. So much for the eye to explore! I think if I were to do anything to this, it would be to crop just a little at the top, where the spit of land veers off to the left. Wonderful photo!
