Brown Eyed Susans! Very pretty name and an even prettier photograph. Lovely bright colours and nice composition, even with the grid in the background. Nice work!!
I don't like to promote my own images, but you might enjoy this similar photograph that I took around a month ago (Quite out of season in the UK), where some Victorian houses were demolished and in their place grew this wonderful display of flowers, poppies, daiseys, the works, the seeds hadn't seen light in over 130 years!!!

I was still looking for Susan! Nice shot Carol. Cool Contrast of colours and I like the blue tint in the sand, shows off the flowers vibrance to good effect.
Ian.
Nope, still can't see Susan. ;-)

Once again you have used the available light to great effect. The spray of yellow flowers is set off so well against the blue background. Good eye.

I like it. Specially the vivid color of the flowers contrasted with the slight dullnes of the background.

What a "Clutter of Colour" note the proper english spelling of "Colour" :-)
Nice shot - the drain is distracting but I understand its relationship with your comments.

I can't ask for a better background than that drainage ditch, because it has a soft, round outline and it kind of lets the yellow blooms stand out. You certainly found beauty where it's naturally occurring rather than it being arranged. Even the upper part works because it's in soft focus.

I saw this on the main page and I thought you were talking about me, hows that there flowers called brown eyes Susans, where did you find that out. I like the way the yellow stands out its so bright, I would like to see if you went lower to the ground and got a tight crop. thanks for the post you cheered me up.
