This typical of Irish country side. Ireland is on a Post-volcanic landscape. At places you can see the evidence of very violent activity millions of years ago. Giant causeway is one such example. Nothing bigger than grass grows in most of the areas. So the mountains are always bare bereft of large wooded forests and full of rocky beds and loose striven rockes. All that walls you see here are made up of loose stones found in the area. Sheeps and cattles, offcourse is allways there every where.
Great capture, very good composition. I've been in Scotland, some years ago, and a really love both (Scotish and Irish) landscape! As Hugo said, maybe it is too green, but, as you said, you almost didn't have the time to make the shot, so... it's great! Thanks for visit and comment my pictures. Cheers
The shot was takey from the car through the windsheild as I did not have time to get out to capture the 'kamakashi' sheep, before it jumped. Thats why its bit light.
I do like the big kamikaze sheep-bottom right, looks like he's just about to hurl himself off a precipice!Maybe that's because he's just been set ablaze in layers- as Teunis pointed out the colours have been lightened and saturated a bit too much and that has probably resulted in burnt out area of that particular beast.I love pictures like this ,it reminds me of summer holidays in county Mayo-Achill island many years ago.
I like the old walls and the many sheep scattered around, Ken, but the shot seems a little washed out ~ the greens, in particular, don't seem quite right. Kind regards, Chris
