The smoke formation is spectacular until one realizes it's a house fire. It looks somewhat ominous, and stirs up some emotions.

I think you've captured the lighting beautifully. When I saw the thumbnail I first thought it was a pic of a hurricane, which sometimes has those colours. Good shot.

Hi Ken, I seem to be oddly attracted to your photos when I browse through the recent uploads, always ending up commenting on one or more for the past few days, so to make my life easier, I've added you to my list of friends ....;o)

Sad story indeed. the orange tone makes it quite unreal. I don't quite understand why you did this, but its something else for a change. Not a bad choice of colours, and quite interesting. There seems to be an issue on my photo about capturing an atmosphere or creating one, and the orange tone would qualify under creating one, although the tension and mood would also evident without the orange film. Very intriguing, to say the least. Good shot, I only feel a bit ambiguous about the apparent tilt in the photo. Did you do that intentionally?
