Very impressive arrangement of the flower branches with marvellous colours and excellent light. I have never seen this plant or this part of a plant before. Could it be a kind of a Bromelia or Guzmania? Is it growing on a tree? Best regards, Brigitte

Hi Don,
YEs, you are so right!! I didn't have the tripod with me (unbelievable) and these were in an arboretum, so many I had to just delete because of hand holding. :( I'm thinking of going back with a tripod to take some more!

Perfect in every way!!!!!!!!!!! Love the color as well... Did you ever get yourself an artichoke? I found some today at the fruit market from Castroville Calif... a buck a piece and they are huge and tasted wonderful!!!!

Thank you for your comment, I wish I did know the name. I went to the arboretum today and was really 'taken' with this one. I completely forgot to write down the name. I had never seen this flower before. Maybe someone who stops by here will know the name!!
