Hugo, thanks for the comment and sugestion. I will try to keep it in mind when I will be preparing next version of this photo.
Its not a pipe :-) It was a window on the top of old Town Gate. The photo is 180 deg. rotated.

Hi Jacek, Is this a the grating on the end of a sour pipe with the sun casting a shadow on the inside of the pipe? Interesting shot, I think the extreme hard contrast is a bit overworked, though. The idea is there, but due to the lack of details and contrast changes and tonal range, I think alot of the effect gets lost. It did attract my attention, though, and I think the composition is very elaborate and well balanced. If only it had a few more details and a bit more tonal variations....
