My son's girlfriend (she's in Grade 12) directed the high school's annual fashion show, We bought tickets. I brought an ancient Soviet SLR, a Zenit-S, with an f/3.5 50mm Industar (early 1960s) and no flash. I thought: How can I possibly shoot with THIS here? We sat in the darkish auditorium, in the second row. I'd read somewhere on a film box that f/2.8 and 1/100 will capture subjects on stage.
I would love to make a comment - considering the location and lack of flash, you have done remarkably well to capture what you have. The redish hue works well to create the setting and mood, while the expression on the young mans face is priceless in it's seriousness.
And congratulations on the equipment you used - I remember reading somewhere that "while camera equipment keeps getting better, our photo's haven't". I fondly remember a 1960's Pentax Spotmatic I used to use (since deceased) which, with the aid of a very cheap hand held light meter, gave just as good (if not better) photo's than the Nikon F801 I replaced it with in 1990.
