Thats just how the petals look. Not sure what type of flower it is but those large petals unfold from a small, tight bud. I didn't observe closely as to whether the older blossoms lost the wrinkles or not.

This is such a "hit you right in the face" shot. The way you captured the creases on the petals; the shock of seeing the centre of the flower; the 3 dimensional effect ... I am awe struck!
