Thanks. Over the last few months I've spent a lot of time trying to perfect, or at least to develop, a black-and-white-film look that would, if nothing else, justify hanging on to my beloved Contax G kit. It's quite different from digital black-and-white (see http://www.usefilm.com/image/302948.html), which is wonderfully clean and smooth, like medium format. When all we had to work with was film, I did lots of hand-wringing and soul-searching trying to make my prints that clean. Now there's no point in using ultra-fine-grain film and a tripod; instead I'm relying on fast film and wide lenses for something very different.

This is a very dark photo and I am not sure what I am suppose to see or feel from it.. to be honest... I just feel its too dark... the ripple in the water is a nice capture...
