Thanks for the feedback. There are actually some Maroon bluebonnets that were developed by some researchers at Texas A&M. You can buy the seeds in College Station, I'm not sure if there is anywhere around Round Rock where you could get them though.

Great Photograph, The day has to be a little overcast to get such a deep color. Just outside of Cedar Park several years ago I saw some RED blue Bonnets, sorry no camera to capture them. I've been looking for them ever since. Now that I've got the camera I can go looking. My next wild flower is going to be Horse Mint....

In Portugal we only have Lupinus luteus e Lupinus angustifolius. Nice to meet that distant relativa. Nice photo. Rui

Hi ed this is a wonderful composition natural color and detail you did a great job with this JOhn My son graduated for there as a botanist and in my retirement years I took courses amd became a master Gardener we know flowers good job John
