Nice piece of art,you are right in your comment on my picture of the camelmarket in Tammenrasset, but i was a tourist and as it is impossible or unwise to travel to that beautifull country i like to show these images to those who wish to visit it once.

This is incredible. It has an apparitional quality with light and dark spectral emanations. The light being on top signifies, hopefully, that it is stronger in holding back the darkness. The two lights near the bottom appear to be a hellion's eyes being forced downward. Ok, my imagination seems to be running rampant but this image is extremely thought provoking. It immediately inspires.

Apart social impact of this shot right now few days than Madrid events, the composition is verey clever with lines converging to the center, it seems to be obtained by using zoom when the shutter is open in 10 sec moving from 28 to 200; this gives dramatic moood to the people flow. Overall I judge this a great and clever idea of using technics in our hands. Bravo.

Wow, Charly, what a beauty!
For me this is two images into one:
on top, one that gives me pleasant feeling cause the lights and effects remind om of fireworks; on the bottom, the less happy image that gives me the creeps as it looks like a procession of ghostly creatures. Amazing and intriguing!!!
Excellent display of techniques
Brilliantly done, Charly.
Congratulations and

bradley, thank you for your comment. this is one of a large series i took last year and the creepyness very well approached me when i saw those high pointed hats covering the heads of the participants. i felt like in a time machine, back in the 18th century with the inquisition handing out friendly invitations....

Powerful, dynamic and very original. I find this shot very inspirational, mainly because of the combination of zooming in and camera tilt. Cool!

Cheers,

Hugo

Hello Charlie,
Looks like you "zoomed" in or out during your ten second exposure?? Nice effect; it says "come to the light". Kind of creepy, to me, as some of the people have that ghostly appearance. Nice work! ....Brad
