I was trying to find a pic of yours that I had not commented on, as to make a reply regarding the Canon 10D..I found this one and I see now why I didn't.. I HATE SPIDERS!!!!! lol anyway.. thanks for the comments on the photos. The Canon 10 D is way out of my price range. A nurse ( LPN) does not make a lot of money. I already spend a lot more just developing and playing with my dinosaurs, that I so love. I just bought another one and am bidding on a couple lenses. I'm a Yashica, Sigma freak actually. Just bought a very nice Yashica 230 AF.. I appreciate the thought. I'd love to get the Canon, as yours, along with your excellent eye, take some images to die for! Who knows.. maybe one day I'll play the lottery and win :) Many thanks. Regards, Rebecca ( oh.. and nice, clear, beautiful shot of that HORRIBLE SPIDER! ) lol

Great capture with spot on focus and DOF. Great composition and framing but not the pet for me.

Graham.

Roger, It may have been nearly all over you, but you definitely got all over it (with your camera that is). Great image. The subject detail is crisp, while the DOF reduces any distractions. Nicely done! Regards, Mike

If this spider is as big as a man's hand it's a fearsome beasty! Great picture of it, though. The Japanese have a strange word for something so good that it leaves you with nothing to say. "Nikui." It translates directly as "dislikeable" (work that out!). I guess it means SO good that you are bound to feel envious. I think the composition of this one is "nikui." Remember that word, Roger. I think I'll be using it again! [g]

What a fantastic photo, Roger! Absolutely perfect photo quality, and also so horrifying and interesting! Australia... isn't that where you have some REALLY poisonious spiders... I think I've heard that you have types that bites you and then you can be dead withing minutes. In Sweden I don't think we have any dangerous ones.

I've just come back from a friend's place where we were working in the very bushy garden in the dark so I can sympathise very much with this! Impressive clarity and nice lighting through the legs.
