Dan, thasnks much for your comments on "Oh NO, not the cliff again".
I'm looking through your portfolio and seeing quite a lot of great shots. But this one caught my eye. I really like the 3D effect you have made here by bring the flower outside the frame. Kudos Dave

Spring arrives in Anne Arundel County!! A great photo, Dan. I like the way you have two of the petals coming "out" of the photo - how did you do that?

Hi Dan, I like the way you present this photo. Excellent framing, and I think it adds just that touch of dynamism a flower macro needs to stand out. (only a minor PS error in the lower left corner....;o) Beautiful details and backlighting. The dual levels of depth between sharp foreground and soft, blurred and obscured background, emphasised by the graphic design make the morning glory just screem out of my screen. Very well done!
I would've liked to see the shadow of the black frame in the flower too; that would create a unique unity in the picture....
Cheers,
Hugo

Yep, the wildflowers (and my hay fever) are here right now.
This is a very professional looking presentation. Sometimes, the overlapping of the border is overdone, but this works well IMO. The fine detail is incredible, even at this resolution.

Really like this one . . . unique in several respects, lit from within in an unusual way, the framing choice is a good one, and the clarity is awesome as well.
