About	I could be wrong, I think this is a Painted Turtle species (Chrysemys picta). Interesting reptilian behavior! Keeping that neck stretched upwards for long periods of time. As if the message for us from captivity is: "Doing well...Enjoy us marvels of Mother Nature...or...Keep your chin up at all times, captive or free". ....I'm no Dr. Doolittle:-)!

=) oh you might be a Dr. Doolittle.. cute turtle... ty for comment on horse humor shot ...=) It was a joke from the trainer I use to have who once told a client her butt was bigger than her horses...LOL.. grins... I don't want mine bigger than his...lol
