About I wanted to post this on 29 Feb 04 to signify the leap year. But humor aside.... I have a more important question to ask my friends at UFC: Who gave us the right to keep captive, all creatures great & small belonging to Mother Nature? These creatures unlike the human species (Homo sapiens chose to be confined to four-walls today & caves in the past) were destined to be "born free" and meant to "live free", weren't they? Can't we leave even leave an innocent frog alone in the wild? Is there an end to contemporary consumerism at all?? Are we encouraging petstores way too much? Are there folks who think like me out there? I mean people other than animal rights activists or PETA folks:-)!

Dear Sudhir-I am a huge animal person who enjoys all kinds of pets however I really feel its a matter of how well educated people are about truely taking care of their animals including frogs. If you provide the natural habitat for them then its cool but so many people do not know enough about the kind of animal they own and what it truely lives like in nature that they do not know the right kinds of food to feed it etc. I agree with you to a point but I also know my husband would like to come back as my horse as he says. I think there is a huge difference in the way people take care of their animals perhaps we need to start with the basics of spaying and nutering. I enjoy your humor your thoughts and your portfolio. Well done..

hii sudhir, you said [in cool rhyme btw]: "I could have bought it & freed that willy.... but, if he didn't survive I'd feel silly....." i know what you mean. sad to have to think of nature in those terms because we've interfered with their lives so much that now they can't or don't have the survival skills for their own natural environment! u also said: "God/Goddess (The Almighty, I should say) wanted humans to live in harmony .... with his/her/its other creations, I think, don't you?!" now, lisa put me up to that title i gave her on that pic u were on of mine ; ) so truthfully i am not a believer of any one god or goddess but regardless, (because i have seen some "devout" something or others shock the hell outta me with their (non)'in-his-image' behavior over the years which has [among other things] led me STRAIGHT to being a devout athiest).. my point being above and beyond u being perfectly right, it doesn't matter who created us or how we evolved but as u said we should just learn to get along in perfect harmony with the other creatures of this earth, starting with each other... that's my wish. no more wars, no more fighting etc etc, cleaner burning cars cause i'd like to keep that hole in our atmosphere at a minimum haha, u know.. i can't swim so well if this planet ever warms over and melts the rest of antarctica i'll have a hard time backstroking it to wyoming. then u say: "Encouragement & business to exotic pet stores, I WILL NEVER GIVE!!!" which is an excellent point, when there are shelters out there that have animals available for adoption and save them from being put to sleep because there was "too many of them" (or whatever). and now excuse me while i try to slip out unnoticed from my little ADD filled tangent (excuse me but i'm on a bit of a sugar high) but let's just say my point is i agree with you and i like very much that you did this pic, and bring up the subject that you did.

best regards
