Wow Jimmy...you are more observant than me....my friend and I had to bring this photo up to it's largest size and squint to find the numbers on the flamingos but sure enough....they are there! LOL Isn't photography fun? There is always more to see each time you look at it...thanks for your comments and your great observation! *smile*

I like your photo, Janine. Your birds look better than mine in my "Flamingo Swamp" post. I think you reply to Mr. Reif was right-on about the focus. I can even read the numbers on the leg tags of some of these flamingos.

I love this. I immediately thought of the old old Eagles tune " Pretty maids all in a row" for some reason. I hope the arrogance of others doesn't inhibit your trying out new things. I think this is a lovely shot. We all have shots that others may think less than perfect, but that we love. And I love this one. Congrats. Keep up the good work!

You know Jorg,
I am not sure you will ever see this rebuttle but in case you may I will say that I have seen your photos....they are beautiful realism at their best. But that is what they are...realism....I tried something different here....I saw a few others play with bold colors on here to make their photos POP and to create interesting pieces of art so I thought I would try it here and I felt I did it successfully. I love this photo. I do not feel the focus could be any sharper...I can see every feather on the flamingos etc. I guess art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder. I am here to learn from constructive criticism and enjoy others photography....and I will continue to do to do that...unfortunately so far on this photo I have not learned anything from any constructive criticism I have received.

I think this photo could have been a nice one but in its present state has many flaws: Focus is not sufficient, highlites are burned out, shadows have a greenish tint and the little tree cutting across one of the flamingos is disturbing. The frame, though artful does nothing to help. Sorry. Just an opinion, but 5x7 ??? No rating from my side!
