About Prince House built in 1894 in Eau Claire (Calgary), in Queen Anne style.
Owner, Peter A. Prince reportedly designed his home from plans of a Connecticut house published in
the November 1893 issue of Scientific American, Architects and Builders Edition.
In 1967 this three storeys house was moved from original site at Eau Claire to Heritage Park Historical Village.
Heritage Park in Calgary, is Canada's largest living historical little town,
or rather village that re-creates all the sights and sounds of pre W.W.I life in the Western Canada.

Impressive house, beautiful picture. If I looked hard for things that might improve an already good photo, it might be to correct the leaning verticals. I guess the ground falls away behind the position from which you took this, so you couldn't have moved back, zoomed in to compensate, and included the trunk of the tree on the left? I find the branches at upper left to be a bit of a distraction, whereas the trunk might have helped frame the house and added a sense of depth.

PS Your descriptions are very helpful to someone who has never visited Canada.

Very nice house, with that flavor of the things very well done. You did justice to location, with an excellent picture and very usefull notes.
The interesting thing of the Vila Viçosa altar, it is not in a church, but at open air.I have other picture of same altar, from other angle where you can see it. thanks for your comments, Rafal.
Regards
jorge

Thanks for your comment! The shot of Merrick was taken last week; it was very cold overnight but had been bone-dry so no snow... There's still snow in the north-east though (was there this weekend)! :)

Hallo my dear friend! It is very nice to see you back! Long time! Nice this one! The clarity at top! The tree cover the emptiness of the sky very nicely at the top left corner and composed very nicely with the outline of the building. Good ground texture with half snow half brown grass! Very good blue colour scale at the sky!

Great composition I like the blue sky and contrast. Excellent image. We have had a lot of rain this winter. Everything is green and the flowers and trees have started blooming a couple of weeks ago. The wildflowers are just starting to come out in numbers and there should be a lot of them from all the rain we have had.
