About These are our favorite and the smallest of our hummingbirds. They are fearless and not intimidated by the larger and more aggressive Rufous hummingbirds.

Wow Fred, that looks awesome.... and with no IS. I appreciate your help and feedback, all I have at the moment is the 18-55 that came with the Digital Rebel a 28-105 USM II and the 75-300 IS. I?m thinking for just staring out in photography this should keep me going till I get better at it. And you?re right the bigger lenses would seem harder to carry around. BTW ?. Does the IS make a kind of humming noise when it?s on, kind of like a little motor running.

Thanks again Fred

Stuart.

As far as lighting goes, this was available sunlight only. I later acquired a flash or two but I still prefer to have the background lit by available light so I mostly use the flashes as fill. If the background is lit by strobe I feel it becomes a bit unnatural looking unless you have some really large flash units in a completely controlled area to bring back the more natural look. Even then, I do prefer some wing blur.

I prefer this style to that of some others who stop everything with strobes. Very nice.

Another great presentation, I am having a hard time deciding which I like the best, each is so different in the perspective. Keep them coming!
