Ursula - Excellent image - second nearly all white image that I have seen today that works unexpectedly well...the mill seems almost like a dream in the whiteness of the landscape and is own emissions...the hard ridge of mountain behind it is the perfect counterpoint...

You did well to compose this from a moving car. This is the home of Adventure Cycling Association, but this was not the weather for bicycles.

Impressive image. Two years ago during summer vacation i stayed in Missuola for one night on the way from Yellowstone NP to Glacier NP and i didn't see that. Great shot, Ursula. You got the right moment.

Love it, I go through that area several times a year, and have wanted to get the shot. Very will done.

The capture shows a very special light... and the skill of a driver... a long way from home...
To understand what happens in Missoula... this viewer came across this link... http://www.co.missoula.mt.us/envhealth/EnvHlthDiv/tattoo/tattoo.pdf which suggests that the public health is a concern, even while the exhaust from the plant continues to rise...

Thank you for sharing...

I saw this exact same thing when I drove past the mill at the beginning of February. I was tool lazy to stop and shoot but thought it would make a great photo. I was right it did. Good job.
